Dhoom 3 - my review

I usually dont put my pics  or any pics for that matter in any of my posts unless its a poster post or really needed. but its Dhoom 3 we are talkin about here ...

so?
lol so nothing just got this idea (and into a little bit self obsessed mode  so here it is!! the review and my pic)

so what is it all about ??

hmm well the pic is the usual one yaa ... at some college reunion i guess ..  ahem ahem ..  ok just messing with you'l .. lol

the movie !!

the story is about a magician who owns a circus, who within 15 minutes of the movie becomes a late magician who owned a circus, because he decides not being able to repay his bank loan is the best reason to commit suicide and leave his kid/s to (in the remaining part of the movie) screwup with the banks happiness and finally magically shut it down.

the film is based in Chicago .. and surprisingly the Chicago cops and a SWAT team magically (again) find it necessary to call Indian cops to solve their bank robbery case. (lol)

the film then revolves around how ACP Jai and Ali fail to catch Sahir (the thief) when they are officially invited by Scotland ... but come up with a better plan after they are shooed away by their hosts.

the movie has many twists and turns, but the secrets are reviled too soon and that's what makes some scenes predictable. e.g: in a couple of scenes my friend almost narrated what was gonna happen next (no shes not smart, so saw? that predictable!!) the fight scenes are too good to believe - like in one scene Abhishek jumps from a bike to as high as 2nd floor of a building ... punches a goon and lands his ass back on the bike!

But the reason we spent 240 bucks on a ticket and went to watch the movie - Aamir Khan's performance is fab and makes it totally worth it !  Abhishek and Uday are not bad either in their usually ignored roles. Katrina looks hot and rightfully has less screen time than the bikes in the movie.

so go go !! watch this movie , its a little short on logic  but the performances / Katrina's kamli kamli dance  is totally worth it !

cheers !

Bitch! get your own..

For those of you'l who did not notice the copyright symbol on  the top (header) of my blog  please do so before you'l copy my articles and paste it on your facebook updates and other social networking sites as your own. Its very annoying. The most irritating part is i am not even asked, i just get to see my articles on other profiles when i scroll (not like i'd had said no, if i was asked, ok wtf may b id say no... but cant you'l get it??  i get to decide !! )  ...

5  reasons why you'l shouldn't copy my stuff as yours !!

5) you don't even know what my articles are all about (its been 5 yrs I myself didn't figure that one yet) so stop showing off. cz you know shit about it.

4) If your not literate enough to write on your own atleast be smart enough to copy from somewhere else / someone who is not on your friend list, thus saving your ass the embarrassment.

3) your gonna get caught anyways .. after people like my articles (for them yours) aren't they gonna expect more from you?  your not articulated enough even on IM .. how the fuck you expect them to believe that you write crap as good as me?

2) I've always accepted that writing is not my cup of tea..  and if your gonna copy my stuff .. its not your bag of chips either. so i'd suggest you move on to yapping about other things to impress, cz the very fact that you've left all the brilliant posts and blogs and are copying my shit shows that your not even well read ... (wtf didn't you go to school?)

1) you may be loser in your eyes, don't be a loser in my eyes and everyone elses.

hahaha and for the love of god , plzz dont copy-paste this post also  haha ...

Newspapers surprise me ...

Now I often read online newspapers (most of them are bookmarked on my browsers - I donno why cz I only read - sometimes just stare at only a couple of them), or get news from social networking sites (yeah you get all the Bollywood/sports gossips and facts there if your always online like me)...  I used to watch Arnab on the newshour  (times now @ 9 pm) but apparently he gets too loud and irritating himself than all his other monotonous guests.

Anyways so today I picked up the newspaper that gets delivered to my house every morning sharp at 7 am, which, after my mom has finished reading it, has to spend the rest of its day at my place in complete loneliness ; So I decided to give it a little importance and enlighten myself with the contents of it - something that I very rarely do. I was really surprised at a few things that i read ...

  • Dance Bars Shall Re-open in Maharashtra: After 7 years the apex court has upheld the right of bar dancers to pursue their profession and has agreed with the Bombay High Court, which had ruled that the ban on bar dancers violates the constitutional right to earn a living *smiles*
  • Rahul Dravid will  Depose against his Players: Two months after the IPL spot fixing scandal surfaced, the police have recorded Rahuls statement and he will depose in the case against his colleagues as prosecution witness.
  •  11 Die after  Mid-Day meal in Chhapra : wtf .. i dont even wanan comment on that.
  •   A study says nearly all the children living on the streets of the metropolitan cities are exposed to abuse and violence and majority of them face harassment from the police.
  • Finally some good news for the people who get screwed in our mumbai local trains - 7 stations on the western and central line are gonna be spruced up like Vashi :P  oh common .. atleast the stations are gonna get fancy !!
  • 70 color blind BEST drivers reinstated !! lol :P
  • After 100 years Rjukan, a Norway town is predicted to get some sunlight in this September .. now that is some interesting shit !!
  •   A British Graduate batted for 26 hours in the indoor nets at the Oval ... it will be a world record after the Guinness World Records  has confirmed the same.
ok now I can go on .. but I am getting late for work ...  so till i pick up the next paper or do the next post here !! cya !

Champions VS Champions

Yes Indian Cricket team has made us proud again by winning the Champions Trophy defeating all other teams that looked nowhere close to putting on any kind of fight. Besides England and Sri Lanka I don't think any team was even in the race, nevertheless Sri Lanka and the Host themselves were not on their best game when they needed it. On the other hand, lucky India managed to come out winners from some really tight situations, not to mention the 65 for 5 in the twenty over finals itself.

Today is the 25th anniversary of our 1983 heros, who managed to beat the then two times champions West Indies and win the World Cup for India. Yeah its all happening for an Indian cricket fan and enthusiast... first the IPL, then watching our young National Cricket team remain unbeaten in the Champions Trophy and two days later celebrate the 1983 World Cup win with another peg, lol cant get better than this can it ?

But this not about these champions vs those champions ... this post is about preset vs present.  with our current team doing so well in England conditions, our young pacers happily surprising us in the  opening overs, our spinner killing it in the middle overs, our new opening bating combination working, middle order, well, firing when needed ... I doubt there is gonna be any change in the team for the coming West Indies series and the other upcoming tournaments. Which means the Yuvis, Harbajans, Gambhirs, Shewags, Pathans, I fear even Zaheers might have a hard time finding their spots in the team again unless some injury or selectors decide that they need to have them in the Test side. Ishan Sharma however, a lucky fu**er that he is has really had a bright series in England, courtesy - the other bowlers who really kept it tight and allowed even Dhoni to bowl like he'd been bowling all his life.

With new players getting spotted in the IPL (for the right and wrong reasons) Cricket has really become competitive, players can no longer take their spots in the team for granted. New skills , new talent,  young bodies and ideas have taken over.
I still doubt these England pitches we played on, may be West Indies pitches will be the real test, but I no longer think India has a weak pace attack now. Our fast bowlers have really shown skill and speed (and so have our spinners). Teams like Australia are also in the transformation phase, but they have never looked so invincible away or even at home for that matter.

I dont think we'l see Shweag or Harbajan or Yuvi play one day cricket anymore.. I doubt the selectors will consider them again. but I am really glad to see the new guns firing.  We shall always miss and remember our old champions who have made us proud at several occasions, while we cheer for our new champions in the days to come.

Big Deal

“But it’s not a big deal Maria” Jeff was furious..  His wife Maria had decided to leave the house for good.
“We can’t stay together anymore Jeff after what happened yesterday … people have already started talking about it …” Maria snapped back
“But what has happened??? … nothing at all.. It was just a mistake …   you know it and they know it too  ... I don’t understand what’s the big deal” Jeff yelled back.

Jeff Pereira - A rich businessman from Goa had never imagined he would have go through all this when he married Maria Vaz and settled in Mumbai three years ago…  the love of his life had today decided that she was gonna abandon him forever. It was a shocking moment for him... he was almost in tears as his wife packed her bags in the bedroom.
“All because of that stupid get together these women have all the time” he said to himself in anger, referring to the kitty party Maria had organized the previous day. All the neighboring females were invited. Unaware that all the guests had arrived in the hall ... Jeff walked right out of the bathroom wrapped only in a towel and worst of all ...the towel slipped off right in front of the ladies.  Embarrassing – indeed it was, no wonder Maria was leaving him today... “I’m sure these ladies must be making fun of my poor baby” Jeff thought feeling ashamed … he was really feeling guilty for what Maria was going through. He wanted to convince her and console her... but how? Maria would just not listen he knew, as she was deeply embarrassed.

As Maria walked across the living room with her bags heading for the door, Jeff tried again...  “Please don’t go Maria” he begged... “Don’t be embarrassed.. ah.. see It’s not a big deal.. so what if everyone.. ah .. saw..”
“Exactly my point” snapped Maria,“Everyone now knows I married you only for your money”
