my Easter was good! i opted not to do the usual - midnight mass, then party (read as drink and dance) till morning, come home drunk, sleep till noon, hog and sleep again and then in the night realize wow Easter is over ? and i was sleeping ! so i went for morning mass, went for a drink with my best friend ball an spent the evening at home playing candy crush and enriching my overweight body with some delicious sorpotel cooked by mom.

Yes Indian Cricket team has made us proud again by winning the Champions Trophy defeating all other teams that looked nowhere close to putting on any kind of fight. Besides England and Sri Lanka I don't think any team was even in the race, nevertheless Sri Lanka and the Host themselves were not on their best game when they needed it. On the other hand, lucky India managed to come out winners from some really tight situations, not to mention the 65 for 5 in the twenty over finals itself.
Today is the 25th anniversary of our 1983 heros, who managed to beat the then two times champions West Indies and win the World Cup for India. Yeah its all happening for an Indian cricket fan and enthusiast... first the IPL, then watching our young National Cricket team remain unbeaten in the Champions Trophy and two days later celebrate the 1983 World Cup win with another peg, lol cant get better than this can it ?
But this not about these champions vs those champions ... this post is about preset vs present. with our current team doing so well in England conditions, our young pacers happily surprising us in the opening overs, our spinner killing it in the middle overs, our new opening bating combination working, middle order, well, firing when needed ... I doubt there is gonna be any change in the team for the coming West Indies series and the other upcoming tournaments. Which means the Yuvis, Harbajans, Gambhirs, Shewags, Pathans, I fear even Zaheers might have a hard time finding their spots in the team again unless some injury or selectors decide that they need to have them in the Test side. Ishan Sharma however, a lucky fu**er that he is has really had a bright series in England, courtesy - the other bowlers who really kept it tight and allowed even Dhoni to bowl like he'd been bowling all his life.
With new players getting spotted in the IPL (for the right and wrong reasons) Cricket has really become competitive, players can no longer take their spots in the team for granted. New skills , new talent, young bodies and ideas have taken over.
I still doubt these England pitches we played on, may be West Indies pitches will be the real test, but I no longer think India has a weak pace attack now. Our fast bowlers have really shown skill and speed (and so have our spinners). Teams like Australia are also in the transformation phase, but they have never looked so invincible away or even at home for that matter.
I dont think we'l see Shweag or Harbajan or Yuvi play one day cricket anymore.. I doubt the selectors will consider them again. but I am really glad to see the new guns firing. We shall always miss and remember our old champions who have made us proud at several occasions, while we cheer for our new champions in the days to come.
Its the season of festivals and I just enjoyed the festival of Eid hogging on biriyani, Its gonna be Diwali soon and my friends are gonna treat me to the core and then its gonna be Christmas! where I'l be running around in a suit for dances and parties... maintaining a clean shaven look trying to impress a few girlies around .... life is so good likes this... We celebrating each others festivals and enjoying at each others feasts ... breaking the religious barriers and the beliefs we have. Its Humanity and Brotherhood written all over it.
.. and then comes Sushma Swaraj, yeah apparently she has gone public saying that she is upset at the attacts on Hindu Beliefs in the movie 'OMG'. Now we have all seen the movie OMG (for those of you who haven't, its an eye opener, go see it) and we know that the movie is made to highlight the Superstitions in all faiths and improve the society. As far as I know the movie has questioned superstitions (Andhvishwas) in all faiths, So I am wondering if this is just a way of gaining importance and influencing the public (hindu majority).
If Sushma Swaraj is so interested about movies not hurting religious beliefs then she should stand up for every religion. What is she doing when bollywood movies portray us Catholics as drunkards and our women with a lose character or less clothes??? Every girl at the bar in movies is named Julie, Rosy, Mary .... don't we know in reality there are non-Catholic names as well doing similar things a Catholic girl is shown doing in the movies? and if that was not enough in the movie Kya Superkool Hai Hum which had offensive scenes of a Catholic priest shown solemnising a marriage between dogs, in the movie Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal Catholic priest is dancing with a
rosary around his neck and wearing a garland of lottery tickets with a
church in the background, an actor is misusing and
indiscriminately using the Holy Water Sprinkler, a priest with a bouquet
of flowers with an 'I Love You' message, a notorious character with
garlands of currency notes shown with the church in the background... May be Sushma Swraj should stand up for all this too if shes pretending to play an impartial minister or just quit with all the cute talk.
Swaraj further tells us (in the same article I read) that last year when Obama visited India and expressed his views on why India does not buy US dairy products, she enlightened him that our cows are vegetarian and their cows are non vegetarians as the people in US feed their cows meat. lolz
Now besides Cows and Movies ... I am sure the lady has a lot more relative topics to talk about that will uplift the society. We all are counting on that.
Now I agree it’s very easy for a fan/supporter/well wisher of the Indian
cricket team like me to sit at home watch the game as I sip my beer and blog
about why my team didn't make it.. I also know it’s easier said than done and all
the other similar lines that go with it … but yet there are a few things I’d like to
point out as my opinion and what I felt about the very unfortunate departure of
team India at the T20 world cup.
To start with let me mention that currently there is no team
in international cricket that can restrict a Team like South Africa to 121 in
20 overs… and if they did, it would be the luckiest day of every player’s life
in that team… So to expect team India to achieve such a milestone (especially
with their current bowling attack) it was not really a very smart thing to do (although
our tigers only let themselves down by scoring an ordinary 152 and but roared loud enough at regular intervals to keep me glued to star
cricket till the end)
Even
7+4 couldn't hide the shameful form our batters are in.
Poor batting performances-cum-strategies cost team India a
real close chance of qualifying to an opportunity of winning the cup. Gambhir
was not impressive throughout; Viru couldn’t do what he does best but did
manage to injure his leg at the end of it. Pathan was made to open twice in the earlier matches, now
this really sucks if he is sent as a regular opener and not as a pinch hitter
which was pretty much the case. Leaving the
last game Dhoni was not able to accelerate either, particularly his approach of
slowing down the game while chasing is damn annoying.
Now our defeat to Australia was the main reason that we didn't qualify or Pakistan's unbelievable performances was??... is not the point. The fact that, a team
like India with the world’s best batsmen couldn't pile a good 170 plus in a do
or die match tells the story.

The only bower I thought was effective throughout the tournament after Zak and Ashwin was Yuvi… LMAO! Dinda, Chawla, Harbhajan, Balaji did get wickets but
not impressive at all. India needs that regular full time bowler (a pacer
probably), someone who can really get in there, take wickets and scare the
opponents. If we are gonna relay on our part timers (who no doubt are doing a
super awesome job) we would surely manage to win games but just like today not
be able to but pressure or restrict our opponents.
Hopefully our captain cool has made a few notes on this
and comes back home wiser. As a fan and supporter I’d love to see Team India do
well always.
Now when a woman’s mood is off... she will surely
tell u (or show it by her actions)...

Now I may be saying this with a male point of view or someone who does not believe in 'love gifts' .. but someone please enlighten me how does a Goddamn Teddy Day tell my girlfriend('s) that I love them the most !! What if I got those overrated teddy bears for like 100 Rs ka 4 and distributed to the girls who I have hots for... do I become a good boyfriend or the guy who is loyal and does not get (or forgets to get) his girl a stuffed bear would be better ??? well from what I know... I'd be 100 times better - yeah that's if i don't get caught... and ofcourse which girl on this planet would think a guy who can get her a 'teddy' can actually cheat on her? - so that mostly solves the dilemma.
Now getting back to these days, I often see people (specially girls) getting a little too serious about them .. I strongly believe whoever made these days - I fucking hate them - but giving them the benefit of doubt - whoever made these days had actually thought of expressing their love with something (1) they could afford, (2) they thought it would never have to be compulsorily implemented, (3) It was a out-of-the-box idea, (4) they never expected anything in return and (5) they never expected their partners to expect the same next year.- which very clearly makes it optional for an individual to go ahead and follow the footsteps of these extremely emotional inventors. If your girl or guy decides not to, it does not make their love less.
I often wondered which of the Guys a Girl with 20 roses on a Rose day loved!! Was it the one who gave her a rose 1st ?.. or was it someone who gave her two roses?.. what if someone who really loved her was the 10th and that too gave her one just because others and she thought that giving her a rose would mean he loves her.
Today love gifts - roses,chocolates, teddy bears, etc are treated as priced possessions. for a girl to have the maximum number or roses means shes hot or sexy... Id rather like to think shes been playing with many of those hearts just for attention and will leave them high and dry at the end.., for a guy to have many roses would mean his cool .. and I think he's cheating on many of em rose givers (secretly)!!
Now for the most unbeatable argument a girl makes.. "if you loved me .. you would never forget to give me a teddy or think its not cool", "how could you forget what day it was today ?" - trust me that's unbeatable yet.. no man could ever and no man will ever be able to fight those lines (and expect to win or be happy after that)
so lets just conclude this by saying .. if you get a rose well your loved.. if you get twenty.. your loved as much too.. c'mon no one will love you 20 times more .. hehe , oh yeah and if you don't get one, don't bother.
Believe in true love not in materialistic pleasures .. God loves you even if you don't light candles .

I was late for work (yeah once again) so took a cab - Maruti 800 (hey i love these Maruti 800 and santro cabs <3) -- The driver looked in his late 40's, more than normally tanned and the accent said he was a South Indain (well no offense there .. that was the best i can describe a guy {any guy for tht matter}).
We had just crossed the Metro junction, when a speeding biker ran passed us, ofcourse saved passed us as this cabby kicked his breaks as hard and quick as he could!
"yeh saale ek din aise hi marenge!!! par unko koi nahi bolta sir! sab taxi wale ki hi marte hai!"He snapped telling me how dozens of bikers get saved like this everyday.. not only cabs but every four wheeler has to deal with such reckless bikers everyday!!
"Risky hai sir .. thok dega toh public taxi wale ko blame karti hai... aur emergency mein break marega toh pichuwala apne ko thok deta hai .. aur gaali alag se" he went on as we stopped at the red light near Xavier’s college .. .
The single turned green and just before he could hit the accelerator a biker changed lanes and over took us ... now riding right in front of our bumper :) ...
"Sab chutya hai saale!" came an expected remark while I smiled..."Road ke bich mein chalayen ge!Anna two wheeler hai toh side mein chalao na .. badi gadi ko side do ... ya ek lane pakad ke chalao ... lane change karke hamari be lane ki maa-bhen karte hai" :)
I didn’t ask him his name, but the man was really upset with having to go through all this everyday... he went ahead and questioned the governments ability, saying that they should take a note of thousands of bikers dying due to accidents, he suggested we should have three small lanesleft-center-right (enough to let 2 bikes pass simultaneously on each lane) and every bikers should just move on those lanes with respect to the direction they have to go ... at any cost they should not ride outside their respective lanes ... he was sure that this would minimize the accidents, as cars and bikes would move on completely different lanes without crossing paths ..
Now that’s a fantastic idea and although the idea makes a lot of sense.. I wonder how much of it can be implemented on our roads, given that most of them are narrow to hold separate lanes for bikes and cars and the rest have been dug open to build some fancy skywalks (which i think will take forever to get ready) ..
More than happy with his idea, I reached C.S.T and paid him the fare just to hear him thank me and say..
Lately a couple of things happening in bollywood have caught my attention … I mean yes there still exists meaningless songs, people jumping from buildings without caring for the elevators and people blowing up cars as if they have smuggled all of them and are blowing them up to deny the investigators of any proof!!
1. After a research that was conducted lately but some people (.. I remember reading it on the mirror) females with names Muni and Sheela dying to change their names because of the embarrassment that our music directors have caused them, now its quite something to notice females having names like Saloni, Rupa, Dolly, etc feel insecure! I mean you never know when our musicians start noticing their jawani and make them badnaam !!
In the park the other day I seen a mom slap her son because he was Singing Sheela ki jawani loud enough for the entire park to hear .. soon after that he hubby runs up to her and says “Sheela marna mat.. pyar se samja na!” … lol
huh ? Cmon now!! Don’t wonder what I was doing in the park ok!!!

2. Sundays are mostly boring these days for me.. I spend them lazing at home and downloading a new movie and watching it … (mostly bollywood) but you have to give me credit ok .. after watching I hate luv stories and Action reply .. I didn’t give up !! I still went on to see overrated Peepli live and Dhobi ghat!The only movie that I really liked is Guzarish! Beautiful touching script and awesome performances by everyone!! But todayI seen Mirch.Don’t know if anyone has seen it or even hear about it… but What a Witty Script!!Just too good!
Personally I am very fond of twist in the tail kind of plots and this one really made my two and half hours enjoyable. The subject on adultery is very cleverly written without making it vulgar.
After long yesterday I sat down and seen an entire cricket match. India Vs Australia is always nice to watch.. but what was not nice is the loopholes in the Indian batting were seen even before the world cup starts. Thee reason we won was because of our spinners.. 3 of them and there is no use discussing about them because the plan is to play just 2 spinners in the actual matches and bank on our part timers :|hmmm well I am hoping that the inclusion of Sachin in this Squard does some wonders for the team and everyone hoping to see India lift the world cup on 2nd April at Wankhede.
After every mobile company running after the very much worthy Android OS for their devices, Nokia has tied up with Microsoft. We will see the Microsoft version of mobile OS in Nokia's next generation of smartphones. Thus Nokia after being beaten by Google and Apple smartphone technologies once again comes up with an out of the box idea. Well I am really looking forward to see how the ratio changes after this tie-up. Given that Android is based upon a modified version of the Linux kernel, it will be interesting to see if people opt for Microsoft over it (with a nokia ka bharosa and comparatively high prices) or continue to stick with Android.

Happened to find the 1st one after I seen my bro watch a you tube video titled ‘Godfather theme!!’ Lol it had the Guns & Roses guitarist Slash play out the melody violently :) when I did a little bit of wikipedia on it I actually came to the source.
The second one is recommended by a kind someone ;) she wanted me to download it since ages.. but I was too lazy to google it down. Today when I called her, She made it a point that I download it on the spot!Thanx Lavu :)
Lately after the Arushi murder case where the parents are tried for the crime. A new threat is circulating in the house behind closed doors within the families..
Parents to kids: “Come home soon from your parties or then people say the parents are only culprits!”
Kids to their friends: “boss my dad is mad at me yaar!I think hes gonna kill me like that Arushi female!”
Lol well I am just kidding... But on a serious note that story is turning out to be very complicated and sad… I’ve stopped following it.
As Valentines Day as arrived I wonder why/how the people who where selling books and other stationary stuff outside stations are suddenly selling teddy bears who look less cute and more over decorated in pink and red. Hehehe everyone in the world seems to me knowing that girls make their guys spend on teddy bears more than anything else…well from the guys point of view I don’t think they have to think too much about what to get their valentine :) it’s the cheapest and the girls find it cute!! omg!
Luckly I don’t have anyone that I have to feel pity on those bears and buy them … but seriously if I had anyone also... I’d not express my love buying my girl a gummy bear!! :P
I don’t get time to write these days... and when I get time I don’t get ideas.. and then out of desperation I club up all my half written posts and post them under something called Ramdom :)

Local vendors an shopkeepers are gods gifts to you, so everything they sell is ofcourse yours! Moreover the even pay you weekly or monthly for running their business.
Public transport?? huh? Wats that? If you pay to travel in it it’s a sin.
Besides these extremely tempting luxuries … the government will not disown you! Infact it will provide you with some more facilities.

·Pensions and other funds on retirement
·Quota and reservations for every damn fucking thing even if your totally unworthy
·Your wife and children are also eligible for the same (quota)
·Your children get admissions in schools and colleges with low percentages and guess what they study there for almost free as per some other provision made by the government for you
·Right from the ration line to everything you can want it’s a cakewalk
Yeah its 4:20 and I am stuck here in the train.. huh ?.. arey Mumbai rains remember? … (in half an hour everything gets flooded) … left office at 2:55 to be precise .. yes Saturday afternoon – half day at office and I had lots of plans…I thought I’ll reach home by 4.. then eat and go out with friends.. may b a 6 o’clock show (I hate love stories – yeah although the reviews say that the movie sucks .. I’d still go.. cz the promos look nice) … OR may be I would get a comp for my client who is after me to get him a system…and I always turn him down cz I am busy working…. Today was a nice day to oblige him… Or if nothing else … I would take a nice nap till 7 and then watch the match …Argentina VS Germany!!!!but you see I am stuck here in the train, hoping to reach home in the first place..(leave aside enjoying the half day!!)
Some passengers traveling along with me in my compartment have already hopped out of the train and started walking along the tracks…seems like they’ll reach beforeme!! … but every time I think about following their footsteps this stupid train moves a little and then halts again crushing all my hopes!

I tried calling a few of my friends for time pass! But most of them are already happily sitting at home, have finished with their lunch and power nap and are enjoying sipping their tea at the moment!! … my ass was burning with jealousy so I disconnected the call :P called a few others who are stuck in the rains somewhere like me and felt better…on the other hand there are these bunch of people who are massaging – where have you reached? Had your lunch?? .. you know there is a high tide at 5….Sion station is totally flooded ! its on the news! … I went out for lunch you know :) ? .. do call me when you reach home!!- this does not make me feel any better .. infact it teases me more!!
Ufff!! Poor me! I had just 8 Parle G biscuits and a cup of milk for breakfast… :( I really hate the government for this! .. WTF! How can they let the trains and the commuters go for a toss like this every year??? Isn’t there a solution??My pork is waiting for me at home and I am here sitting like a fool in this train totally hungry having no clue when this fucking train is going to move!
Speaking about the government… why the fuck is it declared Mumbai band on Monday?? Why are the taxi and auto drivers allowed to go on strike anytime out of the blue> taking the public for a long indefinite ride??? And if they go on strike why are their terms and conditions always accepted without strict action taken against them?? (which actually gives them the confidence to go on strike whenever they like without any fear) why does the common man have to suffer all the time because ofthe loose administration of our leaders? … every year there is a taxi, auto or BEST strike… every year there are floods in the monsoons (specially in the areas where the BMC boasts to have done a good job to take care of water logging and floods). ….
Its 4:44 and I have just moved 1 station ahead! …..
I cant write anymore… will plug in the earphones in my ears and listen to waka waka and dream about Shakira shaking everything she has .. :):)
PS:- I reached home at 6:15 (i.e: more than 3 hrs to reach marine lines from hiranandani ... i normally cover that distance in not more than 1 hr 15 mins)
1. When my boss especially thanks me for coming to work, giving me a big wide original smile (in his mind:- “the time difference between your actual time of duty and your actual time of arrival is increasing daily… thank god you atleast bother to show us your face everyday! I feel honored”)
2. When the people at my workplace show how much they miss me by pleading me to attend to their IT issues even after my shift gets over (they say:- “please please W!((!@M … fix this problem of ours and go…we know that only you can solve it..cz no one else will understand how you ruined it”)
3. When a hot nurse comes inside my department and thanks me in front of my boss for fixing her laptop (leaving his ass burning with jealousy. Yeah the fire down there is enough to launch him like a satellite to revolve in any of the earth’s orbits)
4. When my team, including my team leader allow me to make the shift schedules for the week (they think:- “our lives are screwed anyways, you making the shift schedules wont change anything… atleast you’ll come on time when you make your own schedule!!”)
5. When I get numerous concerned calls if I bunk office (they say:- “sale bol ke cutti le, office tere baap ka nahi hai.. paisa cut hoga!!” )
It has been exactly one year and 5 days since I started writing here and trust me I feel so proud to highlight the fact that I have been happily torturing my readers for more than a year now ..
When I first started [17th Jan 09] I had no clue or hope that I’ll manage to carry on for like a year.. i never believed that I can write.. i still dont...infact when I created this page, I was in two minds – a part of my head telling me that I should just delete this page and save myself from the embarrassment that ill have to face, when people see how miserably I write.. hehe but I think everyone who read my blog [some of them I had to force.. cz they were scared like hell just by hearing that I write blogs] were kind enough to encourage me to write more…
I am grateful to everyone who read my blog during this one year… especially my followers hehe.. big thanx to Julie and Runcil.. they have always been kind and encouraging with whatever I write and have always come up with the best complimentspossible .. then there are few others who follow this page secretly and give their feedback through mails or messages .. and let me just add .. the feedback from these kind of people are not always kind.. but I still like all of them and appreciate their views
During this one year I wrote 49 posts [50 actually – I deleted 1 few months ago cz of sum reaason] and I really feel great when I look at all of them] …
In all I did 8 questionnaires!!!! Wow! Although its hard to believe but seems like I’ve reveled lots about me …I really enjoyed answering few of em questions sarcastically …
It was a good feeling, trying to write down the 2 poems… I was serious very conscious while posting them, didn’t know what kinda reaction ill get…
but most of all I enjoyed writing down the 5-6 stories… I donno why but I simply love writing those twist-in-the-tail kinda things… it just gets the best out of me… I enjoy every bit of it!
Overall this journey so far and experience has been wonderful …a big thank you to everyone who read me again.. I really feel blessed when u people make some time, read my blog and give your valuable feedback… it’s very encouraging and makes my blog feel wanted and read! Recently I’ve been working and not been able to post very often but I hope to do a few posts before this month ends..
I’ve been spending all my time at work since a week now, and am really missing this page! .. for those of you who don’t know (didn’t receive my overjoyed msg) I managed to seize a place in one of the best IT companies I know- CMS. I work at their Godrej site at vikhroli.
Its fun, an excellent learning experience and really amazing to start with a company like CMS right away!!
The Godrej compound here is very large; it consists of several companies including TCS and Accenture. However we (CMS) provide our IT services only to Godrej.
Now Godrej has many buildings here all across the compound, its like small departments spread all over the compound – we (CMS employees) refer to them as ‘plants’ … lol yeah they are our plants. :-) In the beginning of the day- at reporting time- each of us [engineers] are assigned a plant and that’s our plant for the day. (I’ve been amongst the lucky few to get the same plant right from when I joined.) We go to our respective plants mostly along with a senior engineer, and start solving the user’s hardware/networking quarries. Some times we just sit in the AC and wait for a problem to occur, may be wait for a user to complain that his/her system is angry and has started disobeying orders!
Life is not easy here … we come across weird PC problems… but the people here are very nice, mostly IT freaks! I used to think I was the ‘only lonely’ one… but after coming here my soul is at peace, I realize there are lots of mad people like me living around me!!
Slowly I am liking it here – this office atmosphere was alien to me, everyone here talks Ubuntu, internet, network, users and user profiles, backup-restore, emails, wi-fi, etc …
Putting myself in this mode was quite a task, for someone like me who is always awake till 2 in the morning- getting up at 6:45, getting ready within an hour and catching a 8:00 train from CST was as equal to impossible… the starting 2 nights I didn’t sleep only, afraid that I might not wake up on time… but now the story is different, my schedule has changed 360°, I sleep by 11:30 - 12:00, have started skipping TV and long hours on the net- yahoo chats and random nonsense posts I used to do in boredom –
Oh have I started cribbing already? Lol … we’ll am not, just showing off ::winks::
Today I was free most of the day so I decided to pen this post down … its not a very bright idea to write in office.. people keep pepping into your book trying to figure out what network configuration your writing … but I so wanted to blog … I wish I get more free time to complete my incomplete posts! .. Couple of them are incomplete since October.
