11th Mar 09 - just while the entire country was celebrating holi in their backyards .. Sehwag had completely other plans for the day, while he played the 4th ODI in New Zealand, he preferred playing with the kiwi bowling attack rather than colors.
After hammering fourteen 4's and six 6's .. Sehwag went on to become the first Indian cricketer to score a 100 (103) of just 60 balls... Sehwag left behing Mohammad Azharuddin's record of 100 in 62 balls when he hit a Daniel Vettori delivery over his head to bring up his hundred in the 18th over of the rain-truncated match to better Azharuddin by two balls. Interestingly Azharuddin's fastest 100 also came against the kiw's in Baroda in 1988.
Now the question remains can sehwag break Shahid Afridi's record by scoring a 100 in less than 37 balls? ..
all that comes to my mind after seeing this sehwag performance is jai ho!
