Yes my fav team Mumbai Indians is almost out of the IPL and iam not at all happy with the fact! So much so tht ive stopped watching the remaining IPL matches! … whats the point when i am not cheering for anyone~!! Hmmm well I feel more disappointed than SRK.. because unlike he’s team kolkata, Mumbai lost by a very very narrow margin every time! … I wish Mumbai batsmen had scored 20 more odd runs in every game .. they cud have won easily!! Inspite of having a terrific all round side … Mumbai’s batsmen really put them on the back foot …and then all we needed were a few experiments with the batting order frm sachin .. which turned out to b the final nails in their coffin!
With players like sachin ,Jayasuriya, Malinga, Harbhajan, bravo ,Duminy, Zaheer and
Nayar, Mumbai really looked to capture a place in the semi’s . but just like it happened in the last IPL Mumbai saw themselves collapse like a pack of cards under pressure!
I think the highlights for me were
1. Malinga’s yokers!! .. nobody in the world can ball those like him!
2. Bravo’s and Duminy’s batting … bravo was ok with the ball also… and Duminy can bat like forever
3. Nayar as always is someone who can hit sum huge sixes .. quite a match winner..
4. Ajinkya Rahane and Nanda were surprise packages for the oppositions!
5. Sachin’s batting also was no let down!
Biggest failures for me
1.Sanath Jayasuriya… except in their opening game … he’s batting really didn’t help!
2.Harbhajan ! … if he carries on like tht .. iam sure he’ll screw up in the world cup also!
3.Luke Ronchi and Shikar Dhawan didn’t bother 2 contribute either!
Overall its not a good feeling when a team with so much potential and which also happens 2 b the team I support .. goes out of the tournament in this way! …I really wish I cud see them in the semi’s and even finals for tht matter!
Sigh!
May b ill just have to watch Rajasthan Charging at the Kings and Devils!!
