R@!NY D(-)Y

I have been obliged by a little cute girly today ... Janice Raquela Mendonca .. hehe yeah the name is kinda bigger than her ... after reading her very touching poems on her notes on FB, when i approached her to write me a post for this category of my blog .. i remember her say very modestly "I am not a poet" ... well i said "I know your not" and finally convinced her !!

today she did this post in less than and hour and surprised me ...

Thank you Janice once again ... I hope that the wisdom tooth does not take away your poetic touch!!

Rainy Day

I fall asleep to the rain hitting the floor outside the widow

Drip drop, drip drop

The sadness of the sky , the dullness of the day and memories of the past

Drip drop , drip drop

Memories of everlasting pain and tears of betrayal

Drip drop , drip drop

But without the bad times how could we appreciate the good times ?

Drip drop, drip drop

As I walk outside the rain drops on baby trees that are bound to grow and soak into flower seeds that are certain to bloom

Drip drop, drip drop

The rain drops from a tourists umbrella to the sidewalk rushing towards the sewers

Drip drop , drip drop

I used to think of rainy days as reminders of pain

Now I think of them as beautiful

Drip drop , drip drop

As the rain drains so does my hidden pain

Drip drop , drip drop

Splash

my wisdom is in my eyes and hands,
wat i see i write …

The taxiwala gyan !!

hmmm this section - well its a new tag \ category called ‘Guest Blogger’ !! So what about it ?? .. hmmm its my attempt to get non bloggers to do a post for me here !! Thus giving their talent a new platform and giving my monotonous blog a lil bit of variety !! Ok this guest blogger idea is fully mine as far as I know but I would however not claim copyrights on this one.. cz if a nut like me can think of this .. I am sure many other nuts can do so too :P .. lol ok enough of bragging

I was late for work (yeah once again) so took a cab - Maruti 800 (hey i love these Maruti 800 and santro cabs <3) -- The driver looked in his late 40's, more than normally tanned and the accent said he was a South Indain (well no offense there .. that was the best i can describe a guy {any guy for tht matter}).

We had just crossed the Metro junction, when a speeding biker ran passed us, ofcourse saved passed us as this cabby kicked his breaks as hard and quick as he could!

"yeh saale ek din aise hi marenge!!! par unko koi nahi bolta sir! sab taxi wale ki hi marte hai!" He snapped telling me how dozens of bikers get saved like this everyday.. not only cabs but every four wheeler has to deal with such reckless bikers everyday!!

"Risky hai sir .. thok dega toh public taxi wale ko blame karti hai... aur emergency mein break marega toh pichuwala apne ko thok deta hai .. aur gaali alag se" he went on as we stopped at the red light near Xavier’s college .. .

The single turned green and just before he could hit the accelerator a biker changed lanes and over took us ... now riding right in front of our bumper :) ...

"Sab chutya hai saale!" came an expected remark while I smiled... "Road ke bich mein chalayen ge! Anna two wheeler hai toh side mein chalao na .. badi gadi ko side do ... ya ek lane pakad ke chalao ... lane change karke hamari be lane ki maa-bhen karte hai" :)

I didn’t ask him his name, but the man was really upset with having to go through all this everyday... he went ahead and questioned the governments ability, saying that they should take a note of thousands of bikers dying due to accidents, he suggested we should have three small lanes left-center-right (enough to let 2 bikes pass simultaneously on each lane) and every bikers should just move on those lanes with respect to the direction they have to go ... at any cost they should not ride outside their respective lanes ... he was sure that this would minimize the accidents, as cars and bikes would move on completely different lanes without crossing paths ..

Now that’s a fantastic idea and although the idea makes a lot of sense.. I wonder how much of it can be implemented on our roads, given that most of them are narrow to hold separate lanes for bikes and cars and the rest have been dug open to build some fancy skywalks (which i think will take forever to get ready) ..

More than happy with his idea, I reached C.S.T and paid him the fare just to hear him thank me and say..

"aise jinda toh rahenge saale!!"
