Computer World

I have been into computer hardware and networking for quite sum time now... and most recently have started looking at people as if they were computers !! … every person appears to me as unique computer with unique data stored in his/her database .and if we have a broad look at this world, we’ll find all types of computers in various people … sum people are like the ancient p1 … old beliefs, old age…in fact very old age, do not support 2 many new applications, do not function properly … and people around cannot tell- if they will continue to work till 2moro :-) .. Similarly we can find p2’s and p3’s … people in their late 60’s -70’s …they have been around for a long time and have seen the world undergo many changes …u can learn a lot from them.. Then v have the p4’s, dual cores, C2D’s and the quad core’s … whom v address as the new generation … but that does not mean that only age can tell u what kind of computer a human is. Few people are like computers with AMD processors … get heated quickly and then leave a list of troubleshooting steps 2 b performed by others… moreover, How about an old man ...full of vigor and vitamins, always doing stuff, very active and always in a good mood…?? .. Doesn’t that sound like a p1 on the latest Intel motherboard, with 512 graphics, 2 GB ram and much more? Well, so there u go!! .. We can find n number of comps of different configurations in various people :-)

In the same way we can find people of different configurations who boot with different natures (Operating Systems) as well... people who boot with Win 98 are normally the simple type.. They have simple needs, very sensitive, very straight forward and are not so very stylish… in other words we can say, they do have very high graphic support …. Moving ahead in the descending order… we’ll meet people who boot with Xp also … but when it comes to graphics; Vista bootable systems take all the brownie points.. Hmmm well to our horror we’ll find people who boot with DOS also still living... But let’s not talk about them. Oh! Yeah we have people with server OS also …these are normally the business oriented people… mostly are involved in networking … they end up being leaders in all domains and workgroups …Hmmm!!! Hardworking I must say!
Other then these we will find few UNIX, mackintosh and IBM systems moving around us also … but they normally get carried away with the tide and mostly change themselves to feel accepted …and if u thought the complications of human nature ends just here, may b u should think again… because we have not even discussed about the multi-bootable species of mankind!!!

Multi-booted systems as we all know are systems with 2 or more Operating Systems in them. These are very complicated people or should we say very moody … you cannot say which OS they’ll boot in on startup. Such people often need backup, because their system files are always at the risk of getting corrupt. Some people show variations in mood at different places even with a single OS …for example: during work hrs they keep roaming with a big notepad opened on their faces... others have excel or PowerPoint windows minimized in their heads even during lunch time… at home they have their messengers, mails and download accelerators on and when it comes to parties... they don’t hesitate to turn on their winamps and media players at the highest possible volumes.

After all the never ending work that humans do like computers; they are bound to get affected by viruses. A system with viruses no longer remains safe... and shows various symptoms indicating that is needs a dose of antivirus. Some systems are affected so badly that they crash instantly, while the others need disk cleanup and defragmentation therapies, few others have to undergo operations like reinstallation or repairing of their OS.

In other words we humans have become more like our electronic counterparts… and although we never realize that in this competitive world we are slowly leaving behind everything that makes us human and the makers of computers …for a computer student like me it becomes very easy to understand how comps function.
